Just a quick newsletter to remind you that What Rough Beast, the conclusion of the Remembrance War trilogy, is available now!
I’d like to say it’s available locally, but… I just did a check of Barnes and Nobles, and none in the area have it listed on their website. I may go look at physical stores later, but I’m not sure I want to chance it in this heat! It’s not even 9am yet as I write this, and it’s already 83F. We’re expected to hit 104F today. I predict LOTS of Iced Tea today, and perhaps a distinct lack of hot food prep.
In any case, What Rough Beast IS available via all book websites I can think to check.
In other news, for my 17th anniversary I made my wife a Han Solo-style blaster. Mostly I did the electronics, with a little bit of machining the prop replica I based it on, to remove the airsoft functionality and make space for the electronics. It was a rough learning curve, but it looks great and she loves the sounds and light flashes it makes, so it worked out. Next up I’ve got some more projects of that type to work through, some harder than others. First up is an A180 (Jyn Erso’s blaster from Star Wars: Rogue One), some generic blasters based on Nerf guns, and a Star Trek: Discovery 32nd century phaser.
And, of course, I’m still working on the next novel, which is a new universe to play in. I’m working out who the various players in the setting are, what their goals are, and how they burned our protagonist and his friends out. Hopefully I’ll get going on the actual writing pretty soon!
Have a great day, stay out of the heat (it’s pretty bad everywhere in North America, and most of you are on this continent), and I’ll see you in the future.
