7PM: Horror Stories of Getting Published

So you want to write a book? Sometimes that's the easy part! Join our panel of Self- and Indie-published authors as they discuss the process and options for getting your book published. Topics can include questions *you* have, as well as the guests' experiences with the different printing and distribution formats, costs and time commitments, and even legal issues.

2PM: LGBTQ+ In Science Fiction

Today's topic: Effective writing of LGBTQ+ characters and themes. Are you a writer who would like to discuss some ideas with a published pro? Are you a reader who prefers one-on-one conversations over the panel format? FAN EXPO'S Saturday Social with our guest authors is "what" and the Snuggery (cool word for the day) is the "where". The format, topic and setting are informal, where authors can discuss their latest books, trends in writing and publishing, and will even give a reading from their latest book!

6PM: Worldbuilding and Storytelling

Every story has a beginning and an ending - but how do you start to fill out the culture, laws and rules of conduct to guide your characters? Building a world to explore takes time and thought. Interact with our panel of guest authors as we discuss how they go about creating a world for their characters.
